Port Lincoln Golf Results

Wednesday 1st October

Men's Ambrose

As the new GOLF Australia system was getting up and running the stableford competition was unable to be played so the club held an ambrose day. 

64 players took part in the special round with many cracking scores.

Winners with a phenomenal nett 56.83 was Lindsay Gordon, Brett Bennie and Adam Sullivan. Runners up with a delightful nett 58.46 was Ben Sellen, Scott Lombe and Ben Abley.

Women's Stableford

Kaye Freeth's golf ball may have needed an ice bath after winning the day with a red hot 42 points. Runner up with a nifty 36 points was Diana Laube.

Saturday 4th October - Sponsored by McDonalds

Women's Stableford

Libby Dolphin swings her way to victory with 36 points followed by Heather Darley only one putt away on 35 points.

Men's Stableford

In A Grade Trevor Durdin was doing fine with 39 points while Gavin Cheriton snags second place with a clever 37 points.

In B Grade Grant Woods chipped his way to a solid 39 points. Runner up was David Batterbury, sneaking in with a cheeky 35 points.

In C Grade Brett Bennie gets it done with a great 38 points, while Leon Newman finishes the day with hard fought 34 points.

Sunday 5th October 

Mixed Stableford

We had a countback in a close contest that consisted of Shaun Todd just keeping Michael Haritos at bay, both golfers scoring an extremely golfy 42 points.
