Fifty-nine Men took to the field on Wednesday for Stableford Competition, sponsored by Port Lincoln Computing. Countback was required to settle the winner in A Grade with Scott Lombe finding himself victorious in front of Daniel Brown and Bill Bascomb, the three of them shooting 33 points. B Grade was where the score of the day was located, Phil Hyde shooting three shots better than his handicap to score 39 points, Kym Hosking narrowly beaten with 38 points. David Reid was the top of C Grade having scored 35 points, Wayne Smith falling one shot behind.

Reeta Pulls Clean Ahead

Nineteen Women took to the field on Thursday for the second week of the Club Championships with Sekol Farm Tuna sponsoring the days competition. Having shot 85 off the stick, Reeta Devi found herself five shots clear on the day. Cindy Carr was her closest opponent having shot a clean 90 off the stick. In regard to the Nett part of the Club Championships, Libby Dolphin shot to her handicap for a neat 72 with Cindy Carr, Carolyn Cocks and Kaye Jaensch close behind. With more still to come Reeta has a near unassailable lead at the front, a whole thirteen shots clear off the stick while on the Nett side of things, Cindy Carr holds on to a narrow three shot lead over Libby Dolphin.

Saturday’s Men’s and Women’s competition was played with stableford rules at play with the round being sponsored by Midsec. The score of the day occurred in A Grade with Chistopher Baird shooting 40 points with Huey Rosalia two shots behind. B Grade saw Grant Woods scrape through with 36 points, Gregory Barry clawing one shot behind. C Grade was a much tighter affair with Lindsay Gordon surging to the top with 34 points, one shot ahead of Grant Heidenreich, Mark Rowett, Bill Healey and David Reid.
