The wild weather turned out to be only a small deterrent as 67 men and 12 women took part in Saturday’s Stableford competitions. The score of the day belonged to Helen George who top scored with 40 points, six clear of her nearest rival in Kaye Jaensch. The battle amongst the men was much tighter with Michael Freeman scoring 37 points to Christopher Baird’s 36. In B grade Mark Butt was able to beat Jarred Wait on a countback, both men scoring 36 points. 37 points was shot by both David Graetz and Bailey Fraser with the former coming out on top via countback.
Thursday’s ladies’ competition was yet another tight affair with Deborah Sykes just scraping in with the win on a countback as both she and Josie Bacchus scored 38 points.
The conditions for Wednesday’s Men’s Stableford provided some favorable scores with high scores across the board. Simon Bell clinched A grade with 41 points, two shots clear of Kane Williams. Bob Ford took out B Grade with 41 points, clinching the win from Mark Cooper who came in with 40 points. C Grade produced the score of the day, Peter Watherston top scoring with 43 points, four ahead of Leon Newman.
Tuesday’s Twilight competition saw nine players take part with Dylan Puckridge taking the victory with 17 points, one ahead of Marcus Dennis.
